Protein smoothie

I drink A LOT of smoothies. For like months, it was the only thing I was eating for breakfast. They are so easy to make, require no prep at all, and are great if you need to eat on the go.

I pretty much put the same thing in my smoothie everyday. Sometimes I will switch things up and add some coconut milk – but recently, I have started using cottage cheese in them and they are amazing!! So rich and so creamy and the cottage cheese gives it a boost of protein that keeps me full for hours! These are great before or after working out and perfect for a meal replacement.

The added spinach in this gives you a sneaky way to incorporate more greens into your diet. And, if you use a full cup of it, you are getting 1 whole serving of veggies for the day! YAY!!


1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 cup berries
1/2 frozen banana
1-2 cups fresh spinach
2-3 packets Truvia or sweetener of choice
2 Tbl flax meal
1/4 cup water

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until thick and creamy. Feel free to add more water if you like it a little thinner.
